Terms of Service
What we do for you, and what you're agreeing to
Mercopilot can change prices, stock, and discounts in a live store. These terms set out when it may do that, what a subscription costs, and where our responsibility ends and yours begins.

These terms are the agreement between you and Mercopilot ("we", "us") covering mercopilot.com, the Mercopilot dashboard, and the MCP server at https://api.mercopilot.com/mcp — together, the Service. By creating an account or connecting a store you accept them. If you do not, don't use the Service.
If you are using Mercopilot on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind that company to this agreement.
1. What the Service is
Mercopilot reads your connected store, works out what is worth doing about it, and carries out the changes you approve. You reach it through an AI assistant of your own — Claude, ChatGPT, or any other MCP client — which is not part of the Service and is not ours. The assistant's own terms and pricing are between you and whoever makes it, and we cannot control what it does with an answer we return.
2. Your account
Sign-in is passwordless: a passkey on a device you hold, or your Google account. That makes your devices the key to your account. Keep them under your control, remove a passkey from your account page if you lose the device it lives on, and tell us if you think someone else has access.
Anything done through your account — including by an AI client you authorized — is treated as done by you.
3. Connecting a store
You may only connect a store you own or are authorized to administer. A store belongs to exactly one Mercopilot account; if it is already connected elsewhere, the install is refused rather than moved.
Approving the Shopify install gives us the permissions listed in our privacy policy. You can end that access at any time by uninstalling Mercopilot from your Shopify admin.
4. Changes we make to your store
Six things Mercopilot can do to a connected store, and this is the whole list:
- Change a product’s price
- Change a product’s title
- Change a product’s description
- Change a product’s stock level
- Publish a product
- Create a discount code
Every one of them happens because an AI client asked for it on your behalf. Nothing here runs on a schedule, and nothing changes your store unless a request is made in a session you authorized. Approval happens in your assistant, not here. How clearly it asks you before acting is a property of that assistant — some confirm every tool call, some only the first — so it is worth knowing how yours behaves before you connect it.
A change we make is a real change to a live store: a price drops, stock moves, a discount code starts working. Once applied, undoing it means making the opposite change. We are not liable for the commercial consequences of a change you asked for, so check the numbers before you approve one.
5. Recommendations are not advice
Our analysis and recommendations are produced automatically from the data your store returns. They are a well-informed suggestion, not professional financial, legal, tax, or business advice, and they can be wrong — the data may be incomplete, the reasoning may not fit your situation, and no forecast is a promise. What you do with a recommendation is your decision.
6. Subscription and payment
Mercopilot is one plan, billed in US dollars, at $49 per month or $490 per year. Current pricing is always on the pricing section of our home page.
Without an active subscription the tools are switched off. You can still sign in, connect a store, and an assistant can still see what Mercopilot would do — but every request to run a tool is refused, nothing is read from your store, and nothing is charged.
Payment is taken by Polar, our payment provider. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
Cancelling. You can cancel any time from your billing page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not cut you off mid-period — the subscription runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can undo the cancellation before then. We do not refund part-used periods, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
Price changes. We may change the price. If we do, we will tell you first, and the new price applies from your next renewal, never to a period already paid.
7. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use the Service unlawfully, or to make changes to a store you don't have rights over.
- Attempt to reach another account's data, stores, or activity.
- Probe, overload, or interfere with the Service, or work around the subscription check.
- Resell or rebrand the Service as your own.
- Reverse engineer it, except where the law says you may.
8. Who owns what
Your store's data is yours. You give us permission to read it and to act on it as needed to run the Service for you, and nothing more — we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models. See the privacy policy for what we hold and for how long.
Mercopilot — the software, the name, and the brand — is ours. These terms give you the right to use the Service, not to copy it or to use our marks without permission.
9. Third parties
The Service depends on Shopify, on your AI client's provider, and on Polar. If one of them changes an API, refuses a request, or goes down, parts of Mercopilot may stop working, and that is outside our control. Your relationship with each of them is governed by their terms, not ours.
10. Availability
We work to keep the Service running and we will avoid unnecessary interruption, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, upgrades, and failures happen. Mercopilot is young, and features may change or be withdrawn as it develops; anything that materially reduces what you are paying for, we will tell you about.
11. No warranty
The Service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and no warranty about the accuracy of any analysis or recommendation it produces.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
- Lost profits, lost sales, or lost revenue.
- Loss of data held by a third party, including your store platform.
- The outcome of a change you approved.
Our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription, uninstall the app from Shopify, and email us to have your account deleted. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used to harm the Service or another user, or where the law requires it — and outside urgent cases we will tell you why first.
When an account ends, our access to your store ends with it. Your store and everything in it stay where they are: with you.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for a material change we will email account holders. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it; if you don't, cancel.
15. Governing law
Mercopilot has not yet designated a governing jurisdiction for these terms, and we would rather say so than name one that does not hold. Until we do, nothing here displaces the mandatory consumer or business protections of the law that applies where you are, and any dispute goes to the courts that would otherwise have jurisdiction over it. We will update this section, and tell you, when that changes.
16. General
These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us. If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing something once doesn't waive it. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it if the business is sold, on notice to you.

The other half of the agreement
These terms cover what Mercopilot may do to a store. The privacy policy covers what we hold about you, what we never store, and who else handles it.
